My role

As Founder and Head of Product, I was responsible for defining the business strategy, designing the entire user experience, developing the front-end with Angular, and building the organic marketing strategy that successfully brought in thousands of users without relying on any advertising budget. Every element — from the landing page to the internal flows — was crafted to maximize usability, speed, and simplicity, aligning with the expectations of a highly practical target audience like freelancers.

This project was deeply personal: I aimed to create exactly the kind of tool I had always wished for during my own experience as an independent professional. Every design choice, every functional decision was guided by a clear vision — making complex fiscal management accessible and frictionless for everyone, without sacrificing reliability or compliance.

Understanding Real User Needs

Key Problem Identification:
I conducted an in-depth analysis to precisely identify the real needs and daily operational challenges of freelance professionals working under Italy's flat-tax regime.

Target User Profiling:
Through direct interviews and internal team insights — as the whole team operated as freelancers — I mapped key user personas to align design and communication strategies with real-world behaviors.

User Interviews:
We adopted a user-centric approach, focusing on daily workflows and pain points to design a product that would fit seamlessly into existing habits rather than forcing new ones.

Building the Strategic Framework

Competitive Analysis:
I benchmarked existing tools, identifying gaps and limitations to position Forfè Manager as a faster, smarter, and more accessible alternative for freelancers.

Wireframing and Flow Structuring:
I designed highly operational flows to maximize task speed and clarity, minimizing the cognitive load and reducing friction during repetitive tasks like invoicing.

Design System Development:
A scalable Design System was developed from day one, enabling rapid updates, easy adaptation to potential whitelabel needs, and ensuring long-term consistency across desktop and mobile.

Delivering the Product

Front-end Architecture and Development (Angular):
I developed the entire front-end of the platform using Angular, focusing on high performance, modularity, and user-centered responsiveness. The structure was designed to easily accommodate future expansions, such as advanced billing features, without disrupting the existing flows.

Optimization for Scalability and Ease of Use:
Every component was engineered to maximize speed and minimize friction. Special care was given to creating an intuitive UI that would work seamlessly across different devices, ensuring that even non-technical users could navigate, generate invoices, and monitor taxes without external support.
